“SOmething In the woods” Gallery SHow Piece
“Chinese Water Deer” - pyrography, watercolor, white acrylic paint
This piece was created for a nature-inspired show curated by another Columbus, Ohio illustrator at Blockfort Gallery. I wanted to focus on an endangered species and absolutely love Chinese Water Deer because of their unique, long canine teeth (which they grow instead of antlers!). Despite having these sharp teeth, they are herbivores that feed mainly on grasses, shoots, woody stems, and some aquatic plants.
